“ Trying the local ice cream spot in any new place we visit is a must, so we found ourselves at Dairy Haus on our last day in Saratoga Springs. It's a pretty unassuming place, right off the main drag, so easily to get to but also easy to miss if you didn't know it was there (although of course, all the locals know about it). It was a warm summer day, so not surprisingly, the line was long but moved fast. I was feeling soft serve, and I was intrigued by their lemon soft serve. I didn't want to commit to a whole cone of lemon, so I wanted to twist it with vanilla. However, given the way their machines are set up, you could only swirl chocolate with vanilla and lemon with raspberry (which also would have been delightful). The employee leveled with my request though and wound up layering my cone so I did have 50% lemon and 50% vanilla, just stacked on top of each other. This was perfect! The tartness of the lemon was nicely balanced by the creaminess and sweetness of the vanilla, making for an excellent cone. The quality was high, and I appreciated the server's help in getting me what I wanted. I only went for the soft serve, so I can't speak to other menu options, but they have vast options and lots of yummy hard ice cream options that would please anyone. I would recommend Dairy Haus to anyone in the Saratoga Springs area looking for a quality ice cream treat! ”

“ While visiting Saratoga Springs for a concert at SPAC, we arrived in town the same day as National Ice Cream Day 2024, 07/21. Of course, we had to celebrate so after grabbing a meal at a local brewery up the road, we saw Dairy Haus. Reading a few articles and reviews and after trying it for ourselves, we knew we made the right decision to celebrate here! We arrived around 6:45pm on a Sunday to a full parking lot. We ended up parking in the animal groomer parking lot directly next door. Standing in line, there were several picnic tables to the side, full of people enjoying Dairy Haus' treats. We were impressed with their large menu of treats but what sold the two of us was the fact all their ice cream, hard and soft, was homemade. The lines were expectedly long as it was a beautiful Sunday evening and National Ice Cream Day, but they moved right along. The staff behind the counter were young, friendly, and did a nice job taking orders and sending them out. Both of us ordered three scoops of their hard ice cream in a waffle cone. For my scoops, bottom scoop was Mint Madness (mint ice cream, Oreo cookies, crunchy fudge swirl, mint wafers), middle scoop was Peanut Butter Oreo (vanilla ice cream, Oreo cookies, peanut butter swirl), and top scoop was Cookie Monster (vanilla ice cream, cookie dough, Oreo cookies). Each ice cream was creamy and delicious but of the three, I liked Peanut Butter Oreo the best! Each flavor had a hearty scoop and fit nicely in the fresh-tasting waffle cone! We felt the price we paid for our treats was reasonable for the quality and quantity we received. Dairy Haus impressed us with their spanning menu of treats and the fact all their ice cream is homemade and reasonably priced! Make sure you bring cash if you come though as they do not accept credit cards, but I did see an ATM, just in case you forget. ”

“ This place is legit. This isn't just an ice cream shop. It's THE ice cream shop. Soft serve, hard serve, over 30 flavors, tons of different types of sundaes, shakes and the list just keeps going. And it's delicious to boot... it's like someone who loves ice cream put together the menu. Someone said the serving sizes are too small. I don't know what they're talking about. Check out the pics. And they have good music playing and a great atmosphere to enjoy your deliciousness. This is a destination ice cream Dairy Haus! ”

“ soft serve was very good, portions are MASSIVE, this is a kiddie size. they are always very busy here so plan for that and keep in mind it is cash only. a huuuuge variety of options, including like 5 different sundaes (one with lava cake!), ice cream cake slices, pie a la mode, floats, shakes, and of course a sizeable menu of ice cream including dairy free options. ”

“ Came here just in time for closing. I'm grateful to have tasted on of the best in house made ice cream. Perfectly creamy and sweet. The peanuts were sugar coated or magically infused with goodness. This is the 2 ice cream stand I came to that had those glorious peanuts. The service was awesome. Being that they close at 8 and the lines were still huge shows dedication. Prices are great for what you get and the lines do move rather quickly. Make sure you come here if your in the Saratoga area. I'm sure summer months will have the lines extended for miles. Trust me it's worth every minute of the wait. ”

“ The key word here is "HOMEMADE!" All the hard ice cream flavors sold by Dairy Haus are made in Haus. I tried both the Coffee and the Nutella. Both were creamy and the coffee is the most flavorful coffee that I can ever recall having. I don't know if I've ever had Nutella spread so I can't compare it to the original product. While I enjoy hazelnuts, the flavor of this Nutella ice cream does not make me want to run out and buy the spread. I still rather eat the nuts even though this was a good quality ice cream. My wife tried their Coffee Heath Bar and their Cherry Chocolate Chunk. She agrees with me on how flavorful the coffee flavor is. We both were also impressed with the amount of flavor in the Cherry Chocolate Chunk. Their webpage implies that they make their own soft ice cream too. Looks like a few more visits are in store. Need to also try at least one of the peanut butter flavors. ”

“ Dairy haus seems like a hit here! I'm from NJ but came here for some ice cream & they had a tonnnnnn of flavors to choose from! So impressed. I had the banana Oreo which was delicious and caramel cookie dough which I didn't love but someone who loves cookie dough chunks would've loved it. I had to move the chunks over to get some of the ice cream which I didn't enjoy. However the service was great & they also made a cute doggy cup for my dog who devoured his vanilla ice cream. They have a small parking lot in the front and a large grassy area as well as a covered area with benches. I have had better ice cream in jersey... Another thing I forgot to mention, the portions are HUGE. I got a small & it felt like I had gotten a large at my favorite ice cream spot in NJ. 2 people can definitely share a small in my opinion. Overall nice place to check out & maybe other flavors that I didn't choose are better. ”
